The terms governing your use of Mavix Logistics services

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Mavix Logistics' website or engaging our services. By using our website or booking a shipment, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing our website at mavixlogistics.com or engaging our freight and logistics services, you agree to comply with and be legally bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our website or services.
These terms apply to all clients, visitors, and parties who interact with Mavix Logistics & Courier Services Ltd (RC. 8935514), headquartered at Nacho Aviance Export Warehouse, MMIA, Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria.
2. Our Services
Mavix Logistics provides the following international trade and logistics services:
- Air freight export and import handling from Lagos (MMIA)
- Ocean freight (FCL and LCL) from Lagos seaports
- Express courier and parcel delivery to international destinations
- Agricultural goods export with regulatory compliance support
- Cargo consolidation (LCL groupage) services
- Nigerian customs clearance at MMIA, Apapa, and Tin Can Island
- Freight forwarding, documentation preparation, and export consultancy
We reserve the right to decline any shipment request at our sole discretion, particularly where goods are prohibited, documentation is incomplete, or the booking presents compliance risks.
3. Bookings & Quotes
All quotes provided by Mavix Logistics are estimates based on the information you supply and are subject to change based on:
- Actual cargo weight or volumetric weight (whichever is greater)
- Fuel surcharge fluctuations from airline or ocean carriers
- Port congestion, terminal handling, and destination fees
- Currency exchange rates where applicable
- Additional regulatory or customs fees required by destination countries
A booking is only confirmed upon receipt of written confirmation from Mavix Logistics and payment of any required deposit. Verbal agreements do not constitute a booking.
4. Payment Terms
Payment terms are specified in your individual shipment agreement or invoice. General terms include:
- Payment is due in full before cargo is released for air freight shipments unless otherwise agreed
- A minimum 50% deposit may be required before processing of ocean freight bookings
- Late payments may attract interest charges of 2% per month on the outstanding balance
- All prices are quoted in Nigerian Naira (NGN) or US Dollars (USD) as stated. International wire transfer charges are the responsibility of the client.
5. Prohibited Items
Mavix Logistics will not knowingly accept or transport items that are prohibited under Nigerian law, international aviation regulations (IATA), or destination country laws. These include but are not limited to:
- Explosives, weapons, ammunition, and military equipment
- Narcotics, controlled substances, and psychotropic materials
- Flammable liquids and gases not classified as acceptable cargo
- Counterfeit or pirated goods
- Currency, bearer cheques, and financial instruments
- Human remains and live animals (except under specific licensed arrangements)
The client is solely responsible for the accuracy of cargo descriptions. Any penalties, fines, or seizures arising from misdeclared goods are the full liability of the shipper. See our Prohibited Items page for the full list.
6. Liability & Claims
Mavix Logistics acts as an agent and freight forwarder. Our liability for loss or damage to cargo is limited to:
- For air freight: the limits prescribed by the Montreal Convention or Warsaw Convention
- For ocean freight: the limits prescribed by the Hague-Visby Rules or applicable Bill of Lading terms
- For express courier: the declared value or the carrier's published limit, whichever is lower
We strongly recommend cargo insurance for all shipments. Mavix Logistics is not liable for delays caused by customs inspections, port congestion, weather, force majeure, or carrier schedule changes.
All claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 7 calendar days of the delivery date. Claims submitted after this period will not be considered.
7. Customs & Regulatory Compliance
The client is responsible for ensuring all goods comply with export regulations in Nigeria and import regulations in the destination country. Mavix Logistics provides documentation assistance but cannot guarantee customs clearance where goods are misdeclared, prohibited, or non-compliant with destination country requirements.
Any duties, taxes, fines, or storage fees arising at origin or destination are the sole responsibility of the shipper unless otherwise explicitly agreed in writing.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on mavixlogistics.com, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Mavix Logistics & Courier Services Ltd and is protected by Nigerian and international intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written permission.
9. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
